HarvestFest

On Sunday, we ventured down to Shaker Village where they had a HarvestFest weekend.  We enjoyed pony rides, farm olympics, climbing on hay bales, delicious food, and perusing local vendors.

Who Does He Look Like?

"Who does he look like?"  Is a question we've gotten a lot - both comparing Ezra to Elizabeth and I, as well as to Eliana and Judah.  Here are all three kids around the same age.  I tried to find similar pictures to compare them.

Apple Picking

We went to Boyd Orchards on Sunday to pick apples.  We enjoyed the sunshine, picking apples off trees, and of course eating apples.

Visiting Asbury

Ezra went with Mommy to her office last week and got to see Asbury University for the first time as well as meet most of her co-workers.  Here's Ezra in Mommy's office:

50 Books

Over the summer, we picked up a poster from the library titled "50 Books to Read in Kindergarten."  We made it our goal to read all 50 to Eliana by the start of school.  When Eliana reached her goal, we had a little celebration for her.

Cupcakes for the celebration!

The other side of the poster has "50 More Books to Read in Kindergarten" and we have already begun working through that!

One Month

Yesterday, our little Ezra turned 1 month old.  He's been a great baby - our least fussy of the 3.  He gets up a few times a night to eat, but mostly sleeps between feedings, which makes life easier for Mom and Dad.  He loves being held by his big sister and brother.  He has smiled a couple of times, really briefly, although we haven't been able to capture it on camera yet.  We love you, Ezra!

We had our small group over for a cookout to help celebrate Judah - here's the kids table

Ezra was around for all of this, but was mostly sleeping or snuggling with someone during all the festivities :-)

First Day of School

Today is Eliana's first day of kindergarten, and Judah's first day of pre-K!  They're both attending the same school as last year, Creative Montessori School.  They are excited to start a new school year!

Happy Birthday Papaw!

Happy Birthday to Papaw!  Papaw just retired last week, so there are three little kids who are thrilled to see him more often!

Happy 4th Birthday, Judah!

Today is Judah's 4th birthday!

Judah is a compassionate little guy who often thinks of others.  He loves being around people.  He has had many fun interests over the last year, including dinosaurs, space & planets, and diving.  He still loves trains, and has gotten really good at setting up his train tracks by himself.  Judah is excited to have a little brother (who he currently calls "Ez"), and often asks questions about babies.  Judah is excited to start pre-K next week, at the same school he went to last year.  Happy birthday Judah David!
