Frozen

We recently purchased the Disney movie "Frozen" and the kids have enjoyed it.  After a couple of viewings, the kids have already gotten songs in their head, and have been singing them around the house.  Here are some samples:

In Loving Memory: Grandmommy

My grandmother (my mom's mom), Frances Reynolds, known to us as "Grandmommy," passed away on Monday.  Grandmommy was 89, and just 2 months shy of her 90th birthday.

She was a wonderful, warm and generous woman.  She was smart and witty.  One of my favorite memories of her is that she always made homemade warm applesauce anytime I came to visit, because she knew how much I loved it.  Elizabeth and I will also treasure the memory of watching our wedding video with her, because she was unable to attend the ceremony.

Easter Weekend

We had a fun Easter weekend.  Mamaw and Papaw Thompson came for a visit, and we packed in lots of fun Easter-themed activities:

Easter Egg Hunt in the backyard.  Some of the eggs were "Resurrection Eggs" which gave the kids an opportunity to learn the reason we celebrate Easter.

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday, a local church held an Easter egg hunt.  Before the hunt, the kids enjoyed breakfast, crafts, games, visiting with animals, and of course the Easter bunny.

Judah's First Haircut

Judah got his first haircut on Friday.  He was a brave boy, and enjoyed the experience (it probably helped that they put Mickey Mouse on the TV to distract him).

Welcome Spring
