Mamaw sent Eliana and Judah "kite kits" recently. The kit involved three activities. First, we read a book about kites, "Kite Day." Second, the kids were able to decorate their own kite. Finally, we went outside and flew our kites!

Hocking Hills Part 1
Our family took a mini-vacation earlier this week to the Hocking Hills region of southern Ohio. It was a great opportunity for the four of us to take a break from school, work, and the daily routine. We enjoyed hiking, a picnic lunch, hanging out in the cabin, and roasting marshmallows.
Our coolest sight - Ash Cave, where a waterfall had created a big block of ice by freezing when water hit the ground. Most had thawed, but the based remained. |
We had many more pictures, but we'll save the rest for another post.

Gramma Weekend
This past weekend, the kids and I met Gramma at a little rental home in central PA, at the approximate halfway point. It was a fun chance to see her and visit with her, and we also made a short trip down to Maryland to see Great Grandmommy Reynolds. It was a relatively short trip, so not a lot of pictures, but the ones we got turned out great:

Judah is 2½ today!
Judah is such a sweet boy. He's very thoughtful and caring towards his family. If one of us is sad, Judah says "don't worry!" He has developed his language quickly, and surprises us with new words and phrases every day. (For example, he recently walked up to Eliana coloring, and he told her "I'm supervising!" Now where did that come from?) He loves going to preschool and after school talks about how he had fun with his buddy, Joe. Judah is still a big eater, and luckily hasn't gotten into a picky phase yet. His favorite foods are pizza and cheeseburgers. His favorite activity is undoubtedly playing with his train set (see picture below). He also loves watching or reading anything related to Thomas the Train. He also enjoys playing with and being silly with his big sister, whom he mimics every chance he gets.
We love you, Judah!
