We got a family picture in front of the cherry tree in our backyard this week. It was in bloom and we thought should get a picture while it lasted.

Little Grover #2
We recently took Judah's picture in his Grove City College shirt and submitted it to our college's alumni magazine for the "Alumni Babies" section:

Spring Break
Yesterday was the final day of Elizabeth's Spring Break. It was a fun and busy week for our family. Elizabeth and Judah spent the first few days visiting and helping Papaw Thompson, who had knee surgery a couple weeks ago.

After our family reunited, we celebrated the first day of Spring at Rita's with a free water ice. Eliana particularly liked it, and Judah even got a bite or two of the sweet treat.

Midweek, Elizabeth had the opportunity to meet a blogger/author/TV personality, Ree Drummond, better known as the Pioneer Woman.
Jeff took off Friday, and after going out to breakfast, we spent the morning at a park near downtown Columbus. Eliana enjoyed a playground for awhile, and then we went on a walk along the river.

After a full morning, Judah finally hit his limit just before we got back to the car |
And finally, one more Spring Break picture. Eliana has enjoyed seeing lots of flowers now that the weather is warmer. She also enjoys picking them, so we are working on keeping that to dandelions and not tulips:

Judah's 6 Month Stats
Judah had his 6-month appointment last Thursday. Dr. O'Brien says he's on track developmentally, and is perfectly healthy. He now weights 19.1 pounds (75th percentile), and is 28 inches long (95th percentile). So he's still tall, but lost a little bit of his "chunk" due to his increased activity.
We are thankful for a happy & healthy six-month old!

Happy St Patrick's Day!
The kids have some Irish blood in them, thanks to their Great "Mom Mom" Jones, so we all dressed in green today for St. Patrick's Day...
Happy St. Patty's Day!

Hot Dog Dance
Recently, Eliana has started watching "Mickey's Clubhouse." Her favorite part is the end of each episode when Mickey and his friends do the "Hot Dog Dance" and she has learned to do the dance herself.
Here's a video of Eliana doing the Hot Dog Dance along with Mickey:
(You may have noticed she's dancing on a pizza pan. This is to emulate Mickey and friends dancing on raised circular discs.)

Day Trip to Indiana
On Saturday, Eliana and Judah went with their Daddy to Indiana so the kids could see their Great Grammy, Great Boppa, and Papaw Thompson. (Mommy had a focused day of studying in their absence.) The kids don't get to see their great grandparents very often, so it was a special trip.

Six Months Old
Today our little Judah turns six months old!
He continues to be a delightful child. He is now rolling both ways, and doing multiple rolls in a row. He enjoys his Bumbo seat, where he can practice sitting up. He's a very curious boy, always wanting to get his hands on whatever object he can reach. We think he enjoys bath time, even though his face remains expressionless, because he kicks fervently as soon as he's laying in the water, causing his parents to be continuously splashed.
Now that he's six months old, we will start feeding him rice cereal (so keep an eye on the blog for a "first solid food" post).
His 6-month appointment with Dr. O'Brien is still a couple weeks away, so we'll pass along his "stats" at that time.
