Numerous walks together -- around the neighborhood and at a local park. It is almost impossible for me to keep a hat or socks on this child -- she likes to squirm to get them off! :)

Fun with Grandma Jones
Eliana (as well as Jeff and I) have really enjoyed spending time with Grandma Jones over the past few weeks. A few highlights:
Numerous walks together -- around the neighborhood and at a local park. It is almost impossible for me to keep a hat or socks on this child -- she likes to squirm to get them off! :)
A visit to Kitchen Kettle Village in the Lancaster area. The place has an Amish theme, is kitschy, sells great food (we loved the kettle corn especially), and was a blast to visit together.

Mini golf. Grandma Jones won, and Jeff came in second despite having Eliana attached to him in her Moby wrap (a purchase I made with Grandma Jones during our visit and which Ellie and I love!). I got the bronze medal even after scoring a hole in one -- I guess I need to brush up on my mini golf skills. :)

In Loving Memory
This post is in loving memory of Eliana's Grandpa Jones, who passed away from cancer on April 13th. Allan (1955-2010) impacted so many during his life through his faith and character. We all miss him very much. However, because of our faith in Jesus Christ, we have hope that Grandpa Jones is just now truly starting to live.

Easter
Easter Sunday was a wonderful time to celebrate Christ's resurrection and to spend time with family.
It was also so much fun to introduce Eliana to the holiday tradition of the Easter basket. She didn't know quite what to make of her basket as she sat in her Bumbo seat (an Easter gift from Papa Thompson). Some of her thoughts ...
It was also so much fun to introduce Eliana to the holiday tradition of the Easter basket. She didn't know quite what to make of her basket as she sat in her Bumbo seat (an Easter gift from Papa Thompson). Some of her thoughts ...
"What is that thing?"
"The basket's ok ... but sucking on my fingers is way better"
"I love Easter!"
If you'll notice, Ellie's basket has candy in it even though she won't be eating Easter candy for quite some time. That mistake was of course not at all intentional on Mommy and Daddy's part (wink, wink).

Four Months
Eliana is four months old today. At her last well-baby visit she weighed 12lb 4oz and was 23.5 inches long. Eliana is now able to interact with us so much more than even a few weeks ago -- she is 'talking' and laughing, grabbing for and holding onto toys, rolling from tummy to back, and thinking her parents and other adults are hilarious when they play silly games with her. She also usually has a thumb and/or one or more fingers in her mouth. :) Here are her four month pics from today:

Here Eliana is supporting the Phillies for their season opener today. It must have worked --
they won! :)

Laughing
Lately, Eliana has been imitating us laughing in a way that cracks us up:
