To preface -- I'm sorry I did not post Friday as promised. Sometimes life with a baby makes your days go a bit differently than planned! ;) So, without further ado, the third and final chapter of Eliana's 'Favorite Things'. The oh-so-compellingly named favorite thing category for today is "Miscellaneous" -- a potpourri of some of Ellie's favorite activities. :)

A Few of My Favorite Things - Pt 2

Another one of Eliana's favorite things (or actions, I guess I should say) is cuddling. She is definitely a cuddle bug and loves to be held -- which we enjoy! :) Some pics:

A Few of My Favorite Things - Pt. 1

For the next few days, I thought I would share a few of Eliana's favorite things at this point in her 7 1/2 weeks of life. Today's favorite thing is "The Swing" :
We realize that we truly are parents now that we have a huge plastic baby contraption in the corner of our dining room! :)
We bought this swing shortly after Christmas because I had heard/read that swings often calm crying babies, but to our horror, when we put Ellie in the swing it only made her scream louder. We thought that our investment had been for nothing, but -- miraculously (alright, it wasn't truly 'miraculous'...but it was very exciting for me!) -- Eliana started loving her swing a few weeks later. Swing time frees Mommy up to work around the house a bit (you also know you're a parent when you start referring to yourself in the third person as "Mommy"...hehe) and she often falls asleep in the swing for her morning nap. I take many pictures of Eliana while she's in her swing because she's just so darn cute. So I thought I would share:

She Smiles!

Today Eliana is six weeks old, and in the past few days she has started to smile at us! We are really enjoying her being able to interact with us more each day -- who wouldn't love seeing this face? :)

One Month

It's hard for me to believe, but Eliana is now one month and one day old! The past month has been challenging but filled with joy. Here is Eliana's one month pic:
She already weighs 9 pounds!

I also was remiss in posting a pic of three of Eliana's favorite visitors a few weeks ago -- my Grammy, Aunt Michelle and cousin Kaitlyn. Eliana is going to love spending time with them. Please excuse my demon eyes in this picture.
